Payroll – ADP

As the College continues its ongoing effort and commitment to streamline business processes, enhance the campus with modern technology and mitigate risk, the TCNJ Payroll Department has entered into a partnership with ADP.  ADP is a leading provider of human resource management software which specializes in payroll processing.  ADP will allow the College to:

  • Securely and efficiently process and manage payroll administration

  • Offer flexible payment options

  • Empower employees with consumer-friendly mobile technology

  • Protect against data breaches

Effective for calendar year 2020, ADP will begin to process TCNJ’s wage payments and employment taxes, including IRS Forms W-2 and 1095 issuance.  The TCNJ Payroll Department will continue to be responsible for its normal day to day processing of payroll related transactions.

As part of this transition to ADP and in accordance with New Jersey State Law P.L. 2013, c.28, which requires all State employees to be compensated via direct deposit, the College will be phasing out the distribution of paper paychecks.  On April 1, 2020, when TCNJ transitions its payroll system from PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud, the College will no longer be issuing paper checks for payroll.  The YESS Employee Self Service portal will be open for a limited time so employees can access and manage their direct direct deposit information and tax withholdings ONLY.

How does this affect TCNJ employees?:

  • Pay cycles are not changing.  You will still get paid on the same biweekly pay cycle.

  • If you are already enrolled in Direct Deposit, you do not have to do anything at this time.  You will begin receiving your paycheck through ADP in January 2020.

  • For those employees receiving paper paychecks, you are required to enroll in Direct Deposit or sign up for a new electronic ADP paycard (the “Wisely Card”) as soon as possible.  The Wisely Card is a no-fee, reloadable card that will automatically be funded with your paycheck.

  • The initial setup and pre-note process will begin the week of December 9th. You may see a $0 transaction on your next paystub.
  • Follow this link to enroll in Direct Deposit using the YESS Employee Self Service Portal or contact the Payroll office, (609) 771-2087 / payroll@tcnj.edu, for assistance.
